How it Works

1. Tell Me Your Idea

Tell me what you're imagining.

Your inspiration might be:

  • A person or special memory

  • An anniversary or milestone

  • A favorite car, hobby, or place

  • A piece of artwork

  • A particular style or era

  • Something you've imagined but can't find anywhere

You can describe your idea and share photographs, sketches, artwork, or other inspiration.

2. Let's Talk About It

Once I receive your request, I'll review your idea and reach out to discuss the project.

We'll talk about what you're looking for, including the overall style, size, movement, materials, colors, overall dial design, and anything else that's important to you.

This conversation also gives me a chance to determine what's practical to build and provide an initial estimate.

3. Develop the Concept

This is where your idea starts becoming a watch dial.

I'll take what we've discussed and develop a custom watch dial concept image showing the overall dial design and direction of what the finished dial can look like.

Depending on the project, the concept may include:

  • Dial design

  • Case style and size

  • Hands

  • Materials

  • Colors and finishes

  • Your Logo if applicable

The goal is to create something that feels like it belongs to you.

4. Refine the Design

We'll review the concept together and make adjustments where needed.

This is your opportunity to provide feedback before the watch dial is made.

The number of revisions will depend on the complexity of the project and will be discussed before design work begins.

Once the design is finalized, you'll receive the final project details and price.

5. Approve the Design

Once you're happy with the concept, you'll approve the final design.

At this point, the dial moves from an idea into a real project.

I'll provide the final specifications, price, and estimated timeline before production begins.

6. Your Dial Goes Into Production

Once the project is approved and the required deposit has been received, I'll begin making your watch dial.

Depending on the design, this may involve:

  • Creating a final custom dial concept image

  • Producing or sourcing materials

  • Engraving

  • Assembly

  • Painting

  • Dial feet

  • Final inspection

Because every custom dial is different, the exact process will vary from project to project.

7. Final Inspection

Before your dial leaves the workshop, I'll inspect the completed dial and make sure everything is  finished as intended.

I want to making sure the finished dial matches the design we agreed upon.

8. Your Watch Dial is Ready

Once the dial is complete and payment made, your custom dial is carefully packaged and shipped to you.

You'll receive a watch dial that was designed specifically for you—not selected from a catalog

FAQ

Do I need to know exactly what I want?

No. You can come to me with a general idea, inspiration, or even just a story. Part of the process is helping turn that idea into a workable dial design.

Can you use an existing watch as inspiration?

Absolutely. You can provide photographs or examples of watches, , dials, objects, artwork, colors, or anything else that helps communicate your vision. The goal is to develop an original design rather than simply copy an existing watch.

Can I provide my own artwork or logo?

Yes, provided you have the rights to use it. We can discuss how the artwork could be incorporated into the dial.

Can you make a custom dial for a watch I already own?

Yes. Custom dial projects are available separately.

How many dials do you make?

Custom dials are generally one-of-a-kind commissions. However, you can order multiple dials of the same design. Separately, I occasionally release limited runs of my own original designs.

Do you make Seiko or G-Shock mods?

I offer Seiko or G-Shock modification services on a limited bases as part of a custom watch or dial design, particularly when paired with an original dial or design.
